Back in the saddle again!
Retired Wall Street banker Edwin Payne, of upstate New York, recently partnered with the American Battlefield Trust to place a monument to his Confederate ancestor on the Brandy Station Battlefield in Culpeper County.
“I want to be on the right side of this,” said Payne, who grew up in North Carolina. “I am interested in history and the preservation of history and knowing our history so we don’t repeat it. There are a great many lessons to be learned from studying history. We don’t want this kind of thing to happen again, but it doesn’t mean you can erase it.”
His ancestor to whom the monument was placed was Gen. William Henry Fitzhugh Payne, founder of the famed Black Horse Cavalry. A Fauquier County lawyer and gentleman farmer, he joined the Confederacy at war’s outset and earned promotions based on his leadership, battlefield valor and meritorious service, according to the monument recently dedicated to mark the 155th anniversary of the Battle of Brandy Station, fought June 9, 1863.
Gen. Payne was wounded and captured three times during the war while at Brandy Station – the largest cavalry battle in North America. He took over command of a North Carolina regiment after its commanding officer, Col. Solomon Williams, was killed a mile from where the monument was placed, down a gravel road near the intersection of Beverly Ford Road and St James Church Road. He subsequently led the regiment at Gettysburg and later served in the state legislature.
Jim Campi, with the American Battlefield Trust, said it is very rare for the preservation organization to allow placement of monuments on battlefield land it owns. “Each monument has to go through a rigorous process, and we turn down far more than we accept,” he said Monday. “In this instance, we thought it appropriate to facilitate construction of the monument to W.H.F. Payne … by one of his descendants.”
SCV RESTORES STOLEN MONUMENTS
A north Texas camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans has replaced historical markers of two Confederate soldiers that had been stolen from a graveyard. The markers were for Benjamin Martin and Lt. Alexander Cameron.
Martin was a Confederate veteran who later became the first Mayor of Greenville, located about 50 miles northeast of Dallas. Cameron served as Hunt County Surveyor and County Clerk before and after the War.
Craig Smith, commander of the Lt. Alexander Cameron Camp of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, said the group is also raising funds to replace other stolen historical markers in the area.
ADDED TO LANDMARK REGISTER
Fredericksburg Confederate Cemetery is among several sites to be added this year to the Virginia Landmarks Register.
The adjoining Fredericksburg City Cemetery also received the distinction this year, in addition to St. George’s Episcopal Church on Princess Anne Street and Grace Episcopal Church in Caroline County, the state Department of Historic Resources confirmed this week.
The new listings will be forwarded to the National Park Service for nomination to the National Register of Historic Places.
The Confederate Cemetery on Washington Avenue, established in 1866, contains the remains of 3,553 soldiers. That includes the remains of 2,000 unidentified men buried under a large stone monument to the Confederate dead. The adjoining Fredericksburg Cemetery started selling plots to the general public in 1844, making it the city’s first private cemetery.
The two, 3-acre cemeteries are managed by separate entities. The family of Josiah P. Rowe, former publisher of The Free Lance-Star, administers the city cemetery, while the Ladies Confederate Memorial Association takes care of the other burial ground.
The two churches that made the list also date back to the 1800s.
St. George’s Episcopal Church was built in 1849 in the center of downtown Fredericksburg. It functioned as a hospital during the WBTS and includes a tall steeple clock that has operated consistently since 1851, according to the Department of Historic Resources.
Caroline’s Grace Episcopal Church, which also served as a hospital during the WBTS was built in 1833 in a simple colonial style and expanded in 1853. The expansion included an upper gallery for slaves and freedmen. The church houses the 19th century painting, “The Ascension of Christ” by Arthur Pierson, behind the altar.
Inclusion in the Virginia Landmarks Register does not protect a historic site, but does let an owner apply for historic rehabilitation tax credits to improve a structure.
TEXAS NAME CHANGES POSTPONED
It will be another school year before five Austin, Texas schools with Confederate names get their new names.
The school board voted in February to rename the campuses, with the goal of debuting new names when school doors reopen in August. But district administrators have slowed down the process to give time for a 22-member task force to develop criteria for renaming the schools.
Changing logos and signs prior to the new school year also wasn’t feasible in the short time frame, task force members said. New school names are unlikely before the start of the 2019-20 school year.
VIRGINIA NAME CHANGE RUSHED
Monday, after a one-hour debate, the Roanoke School Board voted 6-1 to rename Stonewall Jackson Middle School.
The school will be renamed John P. Fishwick Middle School. Fishwick was the son of immigrants who lived in Roanoke and served as the Norfolk & Western Railway president from 1970 to 1981.
The new sign will be up by the beginning of the school year, with uniforms and a new gym floor coming later on.
VIRGINIA SCHOOL BOARD UNDER SPLC PRESSURE
More than two dozen “community members” asked the Albemarle County School Board at a Thursday meeting to amend the dress code to disallow Confederate symbols on clothing.
The school district has drafted a new code defined by the Southern Poverty Law Center. But for now at least board members decided to table the proposal for further consideration. This only means that the SLPC will amp up the pressure on the board.
FLORIDA CITY TO KEEP BUT “CONTEXTUALIZE”
St. Augustine city commissioners have voted to keep the City’s monument but to add informational plaques. The details can be read below in H. K. Edgerton’s excellent article.
PALOS VERDES ESTATES HISTORIAN UNDER FIRE
Joe Ryan says he just wanted to honor his Confederate ancestors. But the historian historian is drawing ire from his neighbors after he decided to fly the Confederate Flag on the Fourth of July.
Ryan told KCAL-TV the flag he flew is similar to one that young men on the Union battle line at Gettysburg would have carried during the Independence Day battle. Historic or not, his neighbors protested to City officials who are “considering” the issue, but Ryan has since taken his Flag down. He says, however, his right to fly the Flag is well within his First Amendment rights.
ANNONYMOUS DONOR SUPPORTING HERITAGE ATTACKS
The three elementary schools in Virginia which recently dropped their Confederate names received a $20,000 donation from an anonymous donor to cover the costs of changing the schools’ signs and other places where the names appeared.
We have reason to believe that this is the same anonymous donor who has now agreed to cover the costs of removing four Confederate monuments in New Orleans. That donation was coordinated through the Foundation for Louisiana, which accepted the donation and is working with the City to cover costs.
In August 2016, Vanderbilt University received a $1.2 million anonymous gift resulting in the renaming of Confederate Hall.
In these three reported cases, the Petersburg school board, New Orleans city council, and Vanderbilt’s chancellor have all stated that the promise of these anonymous gifts prompted them to initiate their removal efforts.
Either a single anonymous donor has a very deep pocket, or there is an organization at work. If the latter, they cannot, unless they are the Clinton Foundation, hide their activities from discovery and research forever.
VENUE CHANGE SOUGHT IN LOUISIANA
An attorney for a man arrested on a gun charge is asking that the case be moved because a Confederate monument outside the courthouse is a symbol of “racism and oppression.”
Ronnie Anderson has pleaded not guilty after his arrest as a felon in possession of a firearm. Niles Haymer, his attorney, has asked the 20th Judicial District Court in East Feliciana Parish to move the trial to another district, according to court filings.
NON-HERITAGE NEWS EFFECTING THE SOUTHLAND:
The Department of Justice has reached a settlement with the Second Amendment Foundation over the distribution of plans to make 3D printed firearms. Under the terms of the agreement, plans for 3D gun parts can be distributed freely online.
The settlement also stated that the Department of Justice did not consider an AR-15 rifle to be an inherently military weapon.
Cody Wilson designed and printed his own gun on a 3D printer. Then he decided to share the plans on the internet. While it is still illegal to distribute plans for an entire 3D printed gun on the internet, plans for all the parts can be distributed freely. These parts can then be printed and assembled into a working firearm.
In addition to plans for working guns, including one he designed himself and dubbed “The Liberator” after a classic World War II firearm, Wilson also designed and distributed plans for other gun parts, including high-capacity magazines. He created an organization called Defense Distributed to help distribute these blueprints.
In an interview with TheBlaze in January 2013, Wilson admitted that the ability to make these undetectable weapons made existing gun regulations essentially ineffective.
In May 2013, the State Department’s Office of Defense Trade Controls Compliance ordered Defense Distributed to immediately stop distributing any and all plans for guns and parts. The nonprofit Second Amendment Foundation filed a lawsuit on behalf of Wilson in May 2015.
What did settlement say?
On Tuesday, the Department of Justice and SAF reached a settlement in the lawsuit. As part of the settlement, Wilson will be allowed to once again distribute his 3D printed gun files online. The federal government will also have to pay a portion of Wilson’s legal fees.
Notably, the settlement also stated that it was the DOJ’s position that AR-15s and similar semiautomatic rifles were not considered military weapons.
Wilson argued that his distribution of gun plans is protected by both the First and Second Amendments. Critics point out that criminals and cartels could use the plans to quickly and easily print undetectable guns instead of having to purchase or smuggle them.
Glenn Beck interviewed Wilson in 2013, and asked him whether he considered himself to be a hero or a villain. Wilson said that he didn’t “like the dichotomy” of having just those two choices.
MORE BULL “COLLUSION”
Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein has just held a press conference in which Robert Mueller’s merry band of Clinton partisans announced the indictment of twelve Russian intelligence officers.
The indictments obviously refer to the hack of Podesta’s email.
They also finger DCLeaks and Guccifer 2.0 as entities run by the GRU and hint that Wikileaks received the information stolen information. By hint, I mean they don’t name Wikileaks but you had to be in a coma to not know who they are referring to.
Key Points from Rosenstein:
1. No evidence that any American who communicated with DCLeaks or Guccifer 2.0 knew they were communicating with the GRU. Roger Stone breathes a sigh of relief.
2. This prosecution was handed off to the National Security Division of DOJ presumably because Mueller’s team humiliated itself the last time they indicted random Russians.
3. President Trump was informed of the indictments earlier in the week.
4. There is no evidence that any votes were changed by the attacks of the voter registration data in the one state covered in the indictment.
This is pretty similar to the last time Mueller did this. He was under pressure for indicting inconsequential people for lying to federal investigators and so he rolled out an indictment of 13 Russians and three Russian companies as if to shout: “Over there! Squirrel!” Now, he’s coming off a performance by his former lead investigator that was damaging to his investigation.
This indictment is equal parts eyewash and bull. The people in the indictment will never be apprehended. They won’t even be inconvenienced. Like the Russian hackers, there is no real evidence that they either exist or that the indictment isn’t on a pseudonym which can be easily replaced. This is just Investigation Theater.
PATRIOTISM IS HATE SPEECH
Facebook recently flagged a posting of the Declaration of Independence as hate speech, because of the not-so-nice things stated within the document about King George III.
The Vindicator, a local newspaper that covers South Liberty County, Texas, decided to share quotes from the Declaration of Independence in the days leading up to July 4th on its Facebook page, but it encountered a problem when sharing part 10 of the document.
Facebook informed The Vindicator that the post sharing a portion of the document “goes against our standards on hate speech.”
Here’s the part of the founding document that the social network found offensive, according to The Vindicator.
He has abdicated Government here, by declaring us out of his Protection and waging War against us.
He has plundered our seas, ravaged our Coasts, burnt our towns, and destroyed the lives of our people.
He is at this time transporting large Armies of foreign Mercenaries to compleat the works of death, desolation and tyranny, already begun with circumstances of Cruelty & perfidy scarcely paralleled in the most barbarous ages, and totally unworthy the Head of a civilized nation.
He has constrained our fellow Citizens taken Captive on the high Seas to bear Arms against their Country, to become the executioners of their friends and Brethren, or to fall themselves by their Hands.
He has excited domestic insurrections amongst us, and has endeavoured to bring on the inhabitants of our frontiers, the merciless Indian Savages, whose known rule of warfare, is an undistinguished destruction of all ages, sexes and conditions.
Facebook has finally reversed its decision to classify America’s founding document as “hate speech” after much commotion about their action.
15 FELONY CHARGES
by Tom Brejcha
Tom Brejcha has been litigating cases in federal and state courts over the last four and a half decades. For the last 17 years, he has served as president and chief counsel of the Thomas More Society, defending the sanctity of life, religious liberty, and family values.
David Daleiden is the pro-life journalist who spent 30 months leading an undercover investigation that captured video evidence of Planned Parenthood conspiring to illegally harvest and sell aborted baby body parts.
The result? Fifteen felony charges in the state of California.
That’s right. Fifteen felony charges – but against David, NOT against Planned Parenthood.
I won’t sugarcoat it. If not cleared of these charges, David faces steep fines, decades in state prison, and the consequences of being a convicted felon.
You couldn’t be therewhen David entered the dark underbelly of the abortion industry – sitting across the table from abortionists haggling over the price of baby body parts with cold-blooded clarity… “I want a Lamborghini.”
You couldn’t be thereas David saw with his own eyes the preborn children who had been killed with great precision to preserve their organs for maximum profit.
You couldn’t be there when the videos were released and Planned Parenthood and their allies conspired to crush David with trumped up legal charges and an armed raid on his home in which they seized laptops, hard-drives, and recording equipment.
And you couldn’t be there with David when he appeared in both Texas and California for booking and processing – fingerprinted and photographed for mug-shots like a common criminal. (But our criminal defense team was there!)
But, now, this is the reality… there is something you can do to help vindicate this pro-life hero.
My name is Tom Brejcha. I’m the President and Chief Counsel of the Thomas More Society- a not-for-profit law firm underwriting and helping to spearhead David’s criminal defense.
The Thomas More Society is proud to defend many of the most renowned leaders in America’s pro-life movement.
And I have to tell you, despite all that David is facing, his spirits remain high. Of course, I’ve never known anyone in this kind of position who didn’t feel an empty pit in his stomach.
But David’s not giving up. And he never will do so! In fact, I know he sees this as yet another opportunity to drag more of Planned Parenthood’s dark criminality into the spotlight.
My friend, that’s what David set out to do – and that’s what you and I can make sure he continues doing by winning this legal battle.
Now I’ll get right down to it… We anticipate the costs associated with David’s legal defense to exceed $2,000,000. That’s right, TWO MILLION DOLLARS.
You see, it’s not just one legal battle we’re fighting. David faces two separate civil lawsuits in California and a third in Washington State. And the U.S. Supreme Court just declined to hear our appeal of the unjust “gag order” injunction that, at least until the trial, prohibits David from releasing more of his videos exposing the abortion giant’s evil!
But Planned Parenthood has millions of dollars to spend on lawyers and lobbyists – and they’ll stop at nothing to silence David and prevent the truth from coming out.
This truly is a “David versus Goliath” type of battle – with Planned Parenthood, the Attorney General of California, and their allies arrayed against our “David.”
It’s a grave injustice that David is the one being hit with felony charges while Planned Parenthood (so far, at least) has gone unpunished.
But by clearing David of these charges… you and I can allow him to continue with his incredibly important lifesaving work.
You see, over 12 million people on YouTube alone watched the shocking footage he captured. Since that time, 26 states – over half the country – have moved to strip Planned Parenthood of taxpayer funding. And the federal defunding effort came within one vote of passing Congress.
So it’s no wonder Planned Parenthood and their allies want to destroy David. They’d love to see him rotting away in prison rather than exposing their criminal, ghoulish activities. You and I cannot let that happen.
Nikki Hates Guns As Much As She Hates Our Flags
by Al Benson, Jr.
Al Benson, Jr., is the Editor of the Copperhead Chronicle. In addition to writing for Southern Patriot and other publications, he is a member of the Confederate Society of America and the League of the South.
I don’t doubt that Donald Trump has tried to do his best for the country and he has done a lot better than any of the presidents in my lifetime, but some of the people he has picked for cabinet officers and for other positions have been people that have only made his job more difficult. Some he picked fought him from day one because they were part of the Deep State and their agenda was to neutralize him as much as possible. He finally saw through some of them and they moved on, but he hasn’t seen through all of them yet-and one major problem for him is his United Nations Ambassador, Nimrata (Nikki) Haley. Some of what she does goes against the core values of his base and you have to wonder sometimes just who Ms. Haley is working for.
One good thing about Trump is that he has been solidly behind the Second Amendment and the sensible people in this country, the ones that are not dedicated Leftists, have understood that and supported it.
But Ms. Haley seems to have a penchant for going off the deep end and has done so more than once. When she was governor in South Carolina, when those horrible church shootings took place, she was first in line to start hauling down Confederate flags. I wonder if she thought such politically correct (cultural Marxist) action would endear her to the Deep State Republican Establishment and might move her up the political ladder. She obviously had her eyes on bigger things than the mere governorship of South Carolina.
So she ended up as Trump’s UN Ambassador (bad pick Donald) where she has sought to flex her political muscle and as she wanted to endear herself to the Confederate flag haters in her Party, so now she seems to seek to endear herself to the One World government types that infest the United Nations.
She has embraced the UN position on world gun control (confiscation).
An article on https://www.infowars.com/alert-us-joins-gun-control-push just noted today, July 9, 2018 that “It was what Fast & Furious and the Gunwalker false flags were about-Now the UN Arms Treaty is back and the US, under UN Ambassador Nikki Haley, has signed on to the measure to track every gun in the US.” Go back and read that again. Let it sink in. Trump may well be pro-Second Amendment but his UN Ambassador has just signed away our Second Amendment rights to the jurisdiction of the United Nations-the organization that author G. Edward Griffin called The Fearful Master. In fact he wrote a book about the United Nations by that name. See if you can still find it on Amazon. If you can you need to read it
So now Haley has signed us onto a treaty that will start the tracking down of every gun in the country. So who is going to do the tracking for the UN?
Will law enforcement agencies in this country be expected to perform that little chore at the behest of the United Nations? And if so, will that mean that this country is no longer a sovereign nation, but only serves the agenda of the UN? So tell us-who’s going to come in and take the guns? Lots of folks will want to know.
You may get some law enforcement bodies in this country that won’t be real fussy about doing that, particularly in the South and West. Or will Ms. Haley just request that the UN send in troops to do that? And what will Mr. Trump think about that? Will he just put up with it because his Carpetbagger UN Ambassador signed this monstrosity, or will he do what he should have done with her to begin with and send her packing? You can bet lots of people will really be concerned over this-Ms. Haley just giving the UN carte blanche to start tracking guns in the US, or forcing US authorities to do it for them. Bad news either way! Want the UN to have a list of every gun you own? That’s where this is headed unless something turns it around.
And Mr. Trump had better be aware of what his UN Ambassador his just done-she’s deep sixed our Second Amendment rights. That may sound far out, but that’s what it amounts to. Tracking and registration always leads to eventual confiscation. Ask the Germans and the Russians.
Pass this information along to all your friends. Everyone needs to be aware of Ms. Haley’s agenda and Mr.Trump needs to be aware of it too.
Slavery: What They Didn’t Teach in My High School
by Larry Elder
Larry Elder is a best-selling author and radio talk-show host
A man I have known since grade school changed his name, years ago, to an Arabic one. He told me he rejected Christianity as “the white man’s religion that justified slavery.” He argued Africans taken out of that continent were owed reparations. “From whom?” I asked.
Arab slavers took more Africans out of Africa and transported them to the Middle East and to South America than European slavers took out of Africa and brought to North America. Arab slavers began taking slaves out of Africa beginning in the ninth century — centuries before the European slave trade — and continued well after.
In “Prisons & Slavery,” John Dewar Gleissner writes: “The Arabs’ treatment of black Africans can aptly be termed an African Holocaust. Arabs killed more Africans in transit, especially when crossing the Sahara Desert, than Europeans and Americans, and over more centuries, both before and after the years of the Atlantic slave trade. Arab Muslims began extracting millions of black African slaves centuries before Christian nations did. Arab slave traders removed slaves from Africa for about 13 centuries, compared to three centuries of the Atlantic slave trade. African slaves transported by Arabs across the Sahara Desert died more often than slaves making the Middle Passage to the New World by ship. Slaves invariably died within five years if they worked in the Ottoman Empire’s Sahara salt mines.”
My name-changing friend did not know that slavery occurred on every continent except Antarctica. Europeans enslaved other Europeans. Asians enslaved Asians. Africans enslaved other Africans. Arabs enslaved other Arabs. Native Americans even enslaved other Native Americans.
He accused me of “relying on white historians” who, he insisted, had a “vested interest to lie.”
What about Thomas Sowell, the brilliant economist/historian/philosopher, who happens to be black? Sowell writes: “Of all the tragic facts about the history of slavery, the most astonishing to an American today is that, although slavery was a worldwide institution for thousands of years, nowhere in the world was slavery a controversial issue prior to the 18th century.
“People of every race and color were enslaved — and enslaved others. White people were still being bought and sold as slaves in the Ottoman Empire, decades after American blacks were freed.”
Sowell also wrote: “The region of West Africa … was one of the great slave-trading regions of the continent — before, during, and after the white man arrived. It was the Africans who enslaved their fellow Africans, selling some of these slaves to Europeans or to Arabs and keeping others for themselves. Even at the peak of the Atlantic slave trade, Africans retained more slaves for themselves than they sent to the Western Hemisphere. … Arabs were the leading slave raiders in East Africa, ranging over an area larger than all of Europe.”
I asked my friend if his anger over slavery extended to countries like Brazil. “Brazil?” he said.
Harvard’s Department of African and African American Studies professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. — who also happens to be black — wrote: “Between 1525 and 1866, in the entire history of the slave trade to the New World, according to the Trans-Atlantic Slave Trade Database, 12.5 millionAfricans were shipped to the New World. 10.7 million survived the dreaded Middle Passage, disembarking in North America, the Caribbean and South America. And how many of these 10.7 million Africans were shipped directly to North America? Only about 388,000.That’s right: a tiny percentage. In fact, the overwhelming percentage of the African slaves were shipped directly to the Caribbean and South America; Brazil received 4.86 million Africans alone!”
African tribes who captured other tribes soldthem into slavery. For this reason, in 2006, Ghana offered an official apology. Emmanuel Hagan, director of research and statistics at Ghana’s Ministry of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, explains:
“The reason why we wanted to do some formal thing is that we want — even if it’s just for the surface of it, for the cosmetic of it — to be seen to be saying ‘sorry’ to those who feel very strongly and who we believe have distorted history, because they get the impression that it was people here who just took them and sold them. It’s something we have to look straight in the face and try to address, because it exists. So we will want to say something went wrong. People made mistakes, but we are sorry for whatever happened.”
Over 600,000 Americans, in a country with less than 10 percent of today’s population, died in the Civil War that ended slavery. “While slavery was common to all civilizations,” writes Sowell, “…only one civilization developed a moral revulsion against it, very late in its history — Western civilization. … Not even the leading moralists in other civilizations rejected slavery at all.”
And, no, after all this, my friend did not reconsider his name change.
Blacks are thoroughly brainwashed and cannot accept the truth that threatens their alternate reality, in which they exist in a comfortable echo chamber. Changing their beliefs, even to align with what really happened, would require them to try to persuade their friends and relatives, who would also resist. So they remain mired in error, which feeds their victimhood and obstructs reconciliation with mainstream culture.
A Texas school district is holding an auction to get rid of a warehouse full of Confederate-themed memorabilia left over after the renaming of a high school originally named after Gen. Robert E. Lee.
The North East Independent School District says it will build a museum at the school that will house some of the items, including a statue of the General and copies of mosaics created by students, but there’s not enough room for everything that’s accumulated over the decades.
More than 1,000 items would be available, including yearbooks from the 1960s, floor mats, plastic tumblers, T-shirts and dozens of folding chairs with a cartoon general on the seat. One photo shows a giant, headless statue of Lee.
The district said that schools would normally recycle such items or throw them in the trash, but it decided to hold the auction because it received a lot of requests from alumni wanting mementos from the school.
Some alumni apparently were upset that memorabilia they donated to the school will be sold to the highest bidder, instead of returned.
“Once the items are donated to the district, they do become district property,” spokeswoman Aubrey Chancellor told CNN affiliate KSAT. “We’ve had so many items donated over 50 years, it really wouldn’t be feasible to look up names, posts (or) take people’s words for it.”
The online auction will run through July 30.
THE GREAT EVIL
by H. K. Edgerton
H. K. Edgerton is an activist for Southern heritage and a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans. A former president of the NAACP, he is on the board of the Southern Legal Resource Center.
When I first heard of a plaque to lynching in Gainesville, Florida, it came from a Yankee-born County Commissioner there. And I became greatly agitated when he proposed that this plaque would be about blacks being lynched. For the life of me, I couldn’t understand why anyone would want to do something like that…unless the purpose was to conjure up a false narrative about the fallen heroes symbolized by the Cenotaph of this Southern integrated militia… General Lee’s Citizen Soldiers of the South.
The great evil that still stalks the South is the use of race as a vehicle to divide the people rather than unite them. Dylan Roof provided the proper ingredients for the fake news media to further this charge as they used their hocus-pocus with a photo shopped picture with him holding the South’s second most sacred symbol, ” the Confederate Battle flag” to further this agenda.
As the Great State of Florida has slowly become the Alamo in this renewed struggle to defend the honor and integrity of the people of the South, and the honorable defense their ancestors made against the illegal invasion of our homeland; I sadly report that the removable of the Cenotaph of the Honorable General Kirby Smith from Statuary Hall by the lily-livered politicians in the Florida State Capitol is tantamount to the betrayal of Jesus Christ of Nazareth by Judas Iscariot , and as big a blow to the South as Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg.
And, to the St. Augustine, Florida City Council’s, please tell them that 3 minutes before their body and citizens they serve is woefully insufficient, to articulate a definitive message to combat the planned conjured up evil by a paid consultant and so-called academics to discredit the fallen heroes of that town. Those courageous men who stood to defend against an army armed with General Order 100 from its Commanding Chief, to rape, plunder, murder and burn out the innocent, defenseless old men, women and children to include those Africans they would later falsely proclaim they came to save, having only that bogus document called the Emancipation Proclamation to legitimize their war crimes and lie.
If there was any decency or loyalty to the history of that historic city in the members of this Commission; they should have been up in arms about what this consultant proposed. And never let it see the light of day to its citizens.
The only “plaque” that should have been acceptable would have been a tribute to those Africans like Dr. Alexander Darnes who was born there and served with Gen. Edmund Kirby Smith, Anthony T. Welters, who enlisted in the St. Augustine Blues, or even the Honorable Napoleon Nelson, grandfather to the Honorable Nelson Windbush of Kissimmee, Florida.
Anthony Welters, St. Augustine Blues
And we could have traveled down the road of hate as these consultants did….talking about the Corwin Amendment and Lincoln, with a set of plaques down the block at the US Colored Troops Cenotaph. We could have detailed the truth about Lincoln’s Emancipation Proclamation and just how many slaves it freed, we could have talked about the Battle of the Crater, the utilization of their wives as concubine by the Federal white troops, how they were placed in the front lines with bayonets at their backs, unequal pay in this segregated military for the same job as their white counterparts, almost total lack of medical care from their battle wounds, how they shot into Southern soldier prison camp tents to gain promotions at Point Lookout, Maryland, the carnage carried out in-service of the Union or Loyal League, some more murder, rape, and plunder of the Southern people. And I could go on. To hell with their 3 minutes!!!
I am asking my readers to sent a message to the City Commission: “DO NOT DISGRACE the good name of the Confederate dead on the Constitution Plaza Cenotaph with the hate-filled ‘Contextualization’. RE-CONSIDER last Monday’s hasty vote. ”
For the Contextualization Report was filled with bias and I will expose this bias in a report tomorrow.
The contact information is: (email – firstname.lastname@example.org). I hope that all Southrons who read this will respond to my plea.

In this week’s edition of TBR Radio Presents: The Dixie Heritage Hour, Dr. Ed interviews Mark Atkins.
Mark is the author of the book Women in Combat: Unnatural, Foolish, Immoral.
This interview is a trenchant examination of how feminism’s war on human nature has led to the unnatural and irrational decision to integrate women into frontline combat positions in every branch of the U.S. military, thereby compromising its purpose and its effectiveness.
In their conversation, Atkins unsparingly demonstrates that human nature is real, and that any attempt to revolt against nature is doomed to foreordained failure.
Atkins argues that true equality can only emerge when gender roles are accepted since both masculine and feminine roles, traditionally understood, are equally indispensable to human flourishing.
FROM THE EDITOR
Dr. Ed is a pastor, author, public speaker, radio personality, lobbyist, re-enactor, and the Director of Dixie Heritage.
Southern activists assemble near a Confederate monument and the “mainstream” media outlets and newspapers all report it as a “violent” protest of “white supremicists.” But the NAACP brings in paid protestors with machine guns and it is a “peaceful” protest.
Look at this picture:
This is from Atlanta’s NBC affiliate. It was taken atop Stone Mountain on the 4th of July. Keisha Braswell with the Alliance for Black Lives and Richard Rose, Atlanta’s NAACP President, had no comment as to why their protestors needed such heavy firepower? At least we should take some comfort in knowing that these Marxist organizations are now supporting the 2nd Amendment?
Seeing this photo, I took a little detour on my recent vacation and made a visit to Stone Mountain and to Atlanta to do a little unscheduled lobbying.
Herschend Family Entertainment, which owns Silver Dollar City and Dollywood, and which operates the park at Stone Mountain, is now headquartered in Atlanta. Herschend Family Entertainment did not support the above pictured protest. They are in full support of maintaining the mountain and the carvings it contains.
Those who’ve visited Stone Mountain or other Herschend venues in the last few years know that they have been “sanitized.” In other words, your kids are not going to buy any Confederate goodies in the Silver Dollar City or Stone Mountain gift shop like I did when I was a kid. I really loved going to Silver Dollar City every year and yes, I bought some goodies there in years past. But to get to the point I do believe that Herschend is sincere in their assurance that they will oppose destruction of the mountain.
And we were also able to secure statements from two of Georgia’s gubernatorial candidates regarding Stone Mountain:
“When I’m governor, we will preserve Stone Mountain as the monument and cultural attraction it was intended to be, one that brings in visitors from around the world,” the tweet said. “I will work on behalf of all Georgians, but I will also stand up to the extremists who think we have to sandblast the past to move into the future.”
“As governor, I will protect Stone Mountain and historical monuments in Georgia from the radical left. We should learn from the past – not attempt to re-write it.”
Kemp and Cagle will have to face off in the upcoming GOP runoff race.
We also ask Democrat Stacey Abrams what she thought about the armed invasion of Stone Mountain by NAACP terrorists. She refused to comment. She is already on the record as supporting the blasting of the carving from the mountain.
It was important that men of influence heard from us after this most recent attack against our heritage. Someone coming and extending a hand of sensible friendship in support of our shared heritage when the radicals are bussing in heavily armed mercenaries to attack not only their (our) heritage but also their business (since both the Amusement park and politics are highly profitable enterprises). By God’s grace, we were in the right place at the right time to provide that positive response. It was an honor to do so.
