** HERITAGE ALERT, A CALL TO ACTION **
THE GEORGIA DIVISION SONS OF CONFEDERATE VETERANS
“CALL TO ACTION”
***NASH FARM BATTLEFIELD IN GA. IS UNDER ATTACK BY THE POLITICALLY CORRECT ***
Issued by: GEORGIA DIVISION ADJUTANT – Timothy Pilgrim
May 26, 2017
CALL TO ACTION FROM GEORGIA DIVISION COMMANDER:
The pressure is working on our Commissioner Dee Clemmons re for the Nash Farm Battlefield heritage violation. She has appeared on tv this afternoon where she denied completely every asking anyone to remove a flag from a pole or a museum. She is caught between multiple versions of the story but we know the truth.
I know from a trusted firsthand source that spoke to the Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, that they are livid and still in shock over the response.
Ms. Clemmons appears to be reaching out to some of our friends to see what can be done to remedy the situation. I have made the Ga Divisions stance very clear:
1.We want the word “battlefield” to remain in the name, and on the sign, and that the park be continually maintained as such with no other facilities or ball fields, etc. ever added to it.
2. No restrictions on the use of any flags, symbols, or logos from any group that rents the property for any reason whatsoever
3. The return of the 2nd national CSA flag to the flag pole.
4. The return of a museum or museum like facility to the park with existing supporters in charge (meaning SCV members as well.)
We have an official delegation that will be attending the next commission meeting on June 6 to support and add weight to the Friends of NFBP by endorsing their mission, and the SCV’s from our own perspective.
Please share the contact info and ask everyone you can to send a short, polite, email (its a headcount now so keep it brief but firm.) at:
Commissioner Dee Clemmons: email@example.com; her phone, please text only, is 770-288-6001.
I also suggest that we communicate with the Henry Chamber of Commerce:
Mr. David H. Gill, President & CEO; c/o Mr. Gary Sparrow…firstname.lastname@example.org
Explain what would motivate you to come to Henry County vs what would motivate you to avoid coming to Henry County. Keep it concise and to the point so it will be thoroughly read.
After the June 6 meeting, we will give you an update unless something breaks before then.
Ga Div Cmdr
From: Commander Tony Pilgrim, of the Col. Charles T. Zachry of Henry County:
I urge you to sign this petition for the recall of commissioner Clemmons. Forward it to anyone you know of like mind. We already have well over 600 signatures. You do not need to live in Henry County to sign it
There is a Henry County board meeting scheduled for June 6th at 9:00 a.m. at the Henry County Administration Bldg. 140 Henry Pkwy, McDonough GA, 30253.
