Subject: Reminder: Charlottesville City Council to Discuss LEE Park and RE Lee Monument TODAY


“Blue Ribbon Commission” to present its final report to City Council tonight.




CALL TO ACTION! TONIGHT, Monday December 19, the Charlottesville Blue Ribbon Commission to Destroy Monuments will present its recommendations to City Council. The meeting starts at 7:00 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall. We will meet at Lee Park at 4:30 and plan to be in our seats for the meeting by 5:30, but please come when you can. We need ALL HANDS ON DECK to make a huge statement. We have signs like this one to pass out so that you can hold one, if you wish.

You must make your request before 9:00 a.m. MONDAY morning.


Please spread the word and let’s pack City Hall in support of Robert E. Lee!


If you cannot attend, make sure and call and/or send an email BEFORE NOON MONDAY to let City Council members that any attempt to move or alter any Confederate memorial is not only immoral and an offense to all veterans, but is also illegal in the Commonwealth of Virginia .
