Subject: Va Flaggers: Va Division SCV Reunion/ Charlottesville Rally Update

Va Division SCV Reunion Delegates vote to rescind the Va DEC Resolution Condemning the Virginia Flaggers

We received word from the Va Division SCV Reunion that the resolution of condemnation against the Va Flaggers issued by the Virginia Division Executive Council last year, was rescinded by vote of the attending delegates on Saturday.

We never had any doubt that we enjoyed the support and cooperation of the majority of the members and camps in the Virginia Division SCV, but it is good to have it officially recorded in the Virginia Division record. Thank you to each and every one of you who support and stand with us…and who voted to right this wrong.

Earlier this month at the Old South Ball in Danville, Susan was honored to be the recipient of the Confederate Legion of Merit, awarded by the men of the Jefferson Davis Camp #305, Sons of Confederate Veterans, Va Division.

Charlottesville Rally Update/Reminder

We are all set for the press conference/rally in LEE Park in Charlottesville THIS afternoon, Monday, April 18th, 4:00 p.m. We suggest attendees park in the Market St. parking deck, which is a four block walk east of the park, and adjacent to City Hall, where the council meeting will take place. There is limited street parking near the park for those unable to make the walk.

We have lined up several speakers, including a Charlottesville resident who will share the history of the flag that the ladies of Charlottesville presented to the men of Stuart’s Horse Artillery after they saved the city from Yankee invasion, and an appearance and remarks by General Lee, himself!

FB Event here:

Petition creator Teresa Lam will address the group, and will collect additional signatures. As of this writing, the petition has surpassed 7,000 signatures…this compared to the LESS than 700 (that’s seven hundred) collected by the very widely publicized petition to tear down the monument.

If you have not done so already, please sign and share the petition…

Join us in Charlottesville this afternoon…and RALLY TO THE GENERAL!
