CHRISTIANSBURG (WSLS 10) – Confederate flag supporters  will show solidarity for students suspended at Christiansburg High School.

Members from Rebelution and Battle Flag Rally for Freedom said they will be outside Chrisitansburg High School protesting with their confederate flags on Monday morning before school starts.

This comes after a new policy banning the confederate flag outside in school parking lots.

Some parents said the students should be allowed to have their confederate flags.

Ronald Arbaugh who has kids at the school told WSLS 10 it’s not right to tell students to take off clothing with the confederate flag on it before they get on school property.

Montgomery County Public Schools Spokerperson Brenda Drake says the flag was banned inside the high school after multiple fights in the early 2000’s.
