The League of the South supported a Confederate flag rally at the Alabama State Capitol in Montgomery (Saturday, 27 June). According to reports from attendees, some 1000 Southerners turned out on short notice to stand proudly for their symbols and inheritance.
Several League members spoke (at right is William Flowers, a Georgia LS officer), and they were alone in emphasizing that the embattled Confederates symbols represented a living people–white Southerners–and their civilization. As Southern nationalists, League members understand also that the attacks on us, our symbols, and every other vestige of our culture will not stop until we are free and independent.
More public events will be forthcoming.
