Dear Ms. Freda,

I am deeply sorry that my schedule does not permit me to attend your Memorial event. And I am reminded of the honorable efforts of the Alabama Flaggers for so many things that you have accomplished.
You are from the same mold that General Lee spoke of when he praised his citizen soldiers……..The citizen-soldiers who fought for the Confederacy personified the best qualities of America. The preservation of liberty and freedom were the motivating factor in their decision to fight the second American Revolution. And here you Flaggers are; Citizen Soldiers from all across the South; defending, protecting and fighting for the same rights guaranteed by the Constitution and the good name of the section and its people who lived before, after and during the War for Southern Independence.
I applaud your efforts to memorialize the remains of the Honorable CSA Pvt. Milton Butterfield at the Red Door Theater as well.
Please give my best regards to the Honorable Damien McGill, your Keynote Speaker.God bless you!
                                         Your brother,
                                              HK
