Your "Jayhawks" Stance

To the Citizens of Osceola, Missouri,
Please stand firm in your opposition and protest to the Kansas University’s use of the Jayhawks mascot. I have read a book on the burning of Osceola, and am now reading a true account of the Border Wars era in the history of your area. I, too, feel that the use of that symbol by the university is a direct slap in the face and a gouge at the people of Missouri who stood fast in their opposition to the terror unleashed on them by and in the name of the redleg Jayhawks from Kansas.
