My name is Steve York and I am very interested in the civil war, I have been studying the war since I was a young boy. I am amazed at the courage that the men who fought these battle had. I learned early on that the history that I had fore learned about the Confederacy was wrong in the sense of the black man’s role during the war. Much of which I had learned from other people that when I look back had no idea what they were talking about, I have watched some of your videos and even had the pleasure of seeing you here in East Tennessee at the reenactment of the Battle of Fort Sander a few years back. I wish now I could have sat down and spent time talking to you. I appreciate and respect you for the things that you have done to teach people what the flag of the Confederacy really stands for and I just wanted to say thank you for what you do. I have a funny story to tell you: my daughter and I were at the Fort Sanders reenactment walking around looking at the camps when all of the sudden we hear LOUD rebel yell that scared the both of us half to death. The look in her eyes was priceless when she saw a black man wearing the uniform of a Confederate solider waving the stars and bars. She was 9 at the time she’s 12 now, this gave me the opportunity to give her a little history lesson. For this I would also like to thank you, if you hadn’t scared us she may have never known the truth about what the war was really over. I hope this email makes since and that you have a very Merry Christmas and the next time I see you at a reenactment I hope I get the chance to sit an speak with you.

In this the year that marks the beginning of the Sesquicentennial years of the War Between the States, many Southerners and Southern organizations reveled in the thought that this would be the time in which the whole of America would hear the Southern side of a tale that would clear the names of those families and our homeland from a manufactured lie. A lie designed to divide not only Southern White and Southern Black folk, but depict wrongfully to the world and nation, the character and virtues of the Southern White man. A man who through the most difficult testing of man’s morality in the cesspool of the economic institution of chattel slavery, surpassed any of those complicit. In the moral, social, economic, and political development of the African people, the Southern White man has no equal. Then or now. We still await the time to tell our tale.
The Year End List of Shame
(A) Mimi Elrod / Mayor of the Shrine City, Lexington, Va., whose great great Uncle issued the Oath of Office to the Honorable President Jefferson Davis, would help architect the Ordinance Ban of the Confederate Battle Flag.
(B) American Legion Post #2 continued the ban of the Confederate Soldiers Colors in the Veterans Day Parade in Knoxville, Tn.
(C) University of Missouri State interim President Cliff Smart’s ban on the playing of Dixie.
(D) The Veterans Administration Hospital Memphis, Tennessee removal of Korean War Veteran Perry Thrasher’s desk size Confederate Battle Flag from his room.
(E) Boy Scout Council of Richmond, Virginia removal of the Honorable General Robert E. Lee’s name.
(F) University of North Carolina’s played Documentary depicting Abraham Lincoln as the Second Coming of Jesus Christ, and not allowing a rebuttal.
(G) Governor Ricky Perry joins Mimi Elrod, Judas, and Bennedict Arnold in defining the meaning of traitor.
(H) Mitt Romney’s declaration that he wouldn’t fly that thing referring to the Southern Cross.
(I) The NAACP’s burning of the Table of Brotherhood and the Dream of Martin Luther King with its designed attack on the Confederate Battle Flag and the Honorable people of the South, utilizing Puritan Reconstruction modus operandi of dividing and separating Southern Blacks from Southern Whites in the body politic.
In conclusion: This list could very well be expanded to include those like Ms. Veita Jackson -Carter, Principal of Hawthrone Middle School in Alachua County, Florida who have joined many school officials across this nation in criminally depicting potential environments of disruptions in their schools should students be allowed to wear or carry symbols of the Confederate Battle flag when they know full well there has been none, and that the Courts will side with them even if they lie. (Tinker vs. the Des Moines Iowa School District)
However, I have seen the worm turn as the effects of the so called Northern victory has finally brought the chickens home to roost, and the American people are no longer duped about the Stand of the South against the tyrants who would loot the public treasury while destroying the Constitutional Republic forged by the Founding Fathers, and are slowly coming to terms that the South was right.
