The Alamo Under the United Nations Flag–God Forbid! by Al Benson Jr.

I recently (10/31/13) read an article on http://www.libertynews.com that stated that the mayor of San Antonio, Texas, Julian Castro, is in the process of negotiating with the United Nations to have the Alamo designated as an "official UN Heritage Site." The last thing in the world that Texas and Texans need is for the United Nations flag to fly over the Alamo. Just when you thought it couldn’t get any worse, here it is.

The mayor wants to have the Alamo designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If you want to get some idea of how bad a suggestion that is, check out UNESCO on the Internet and also check out the Communist involvement with the United Nations, which is and has been considerable. If you want to find out more about the UN check Amazon.com and see if you can find a book called "The Fearful Master" by G. Edward Griffin which is an expose of the United Nations and its machinations.

What do you think will happen to the story of the Alamo if the United Nations gets to rewrite it? Will Travis, Bowie, and Crockett come off as racist white imperialists trying to thwart the efforts of that saviour of the Mexican people Santa Ana as he moves northward trying to liberate the Mexican population of Texas from white oppression? If the United Nations gets to tell the story of the Alamo you can just bet it will be retold in that fashion–and white Texans will end up being the villains as usual.

I’ve only been to the Alamo once, and that was several years ago, but I remember that it was almost like a shrine. You didn’t talk loud in there and no one had to tell you to be quiet–you just did it naturally. Just to stand where the gallant Texans fought for Texas liberty was a sobering experience. I can only imagine what the United Nations will do to it–and the thought makes my skin crawl.
