The South will not rise again

It is difficult to believe that the supposedly intellectual state elected officials would want to race back to the past that has caused so much embarrassing to this and other confederate states.

It took less than 24 hours after the Supreme Court’s decision on Tuesday June 25, 2013, for the Secretary of State of Alabama to start up the engine that would generate "voter ID" to target a select group of people.

The Attorney General of Alabama can’t wait to take the weak governor and the Republican majority Senate and House in Alabama back to the shameful days of the past. The once voice of " segregation today, segregation tomorrow and segregation forever" rings clear in their heads.

The fallacy in that archaic philosophy is, it didn’t work then and it definitely will not work in the future. It doesn’t matter how much " confederated money you have saved", the south will not rise again.

However Alabama could be one of the embarrassing dots on the map of the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. Have we not had enough "Dark Blots" in the state already? Will the highly religious institutions (churches and related organization) not send a voice to these elected officials and insist that we remain in the 21st century with dignity and respect for all and not go back to days of venom and hate?
