R.E. Lee Camp Hall Museum, 806 Prince Street, Alexandria, Virginia
Visit and explore the museum dedicated to the Alexandria companies of the 17th Virginia Infantry that defended Virginia during the War Between the States. Learn about Alexandria’s unique situation as an occupied city during the Civil War, and find out why the statue “Appomattox” sits in the middle of the intersection of Prince and Washington Streets. Confederate and Union artifacts, prisoner-of-war art, Lee family items, and more are all in this beautiful Victorian townhouse that served as a Civil War hospital. 12 noon to 2 p.m. Admission is free, but donations are welcome.
