Mr. Mayor and City Council:

Savannah Georgia

It has recently come to my attention that you have removed a portrait of Robert E. Lee from your City Hall. I am appalled that you would allow this to happen. Robert E. Lee was one of the finest men to ever live. He was in fact Lincoln’s first choice to oversee the Armies of the North. Are you people that ignorant to the true causes of the War Between the States, or are you just bending and bowing to the politically correct agenda that is killing America and the little bit of freedom that we as Americans have left. Our heritage is very important to us!

I am sick at heart about this, and as many times that I have visited your city, and as much as I love it, I don’t think I will visit again. I am a member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, and have many friends in the Sons of the Confederate Veterans, I will be sure and let all of them know about this too. I also know that our counter parts of the Union Armies in the Northern States will also find the removal of Robert E. Lee despicable.

This to me is an act of hate; shame on you!
