Mr. Edgerton

I am really thankful for everything that you do, and anytime you are in MIssissippi and need anything please don’t hesitate to ask. If you ever do make it to this part of the country I would love for you to come to a football game and meet the people. It is really sad that all sixty thousand people ,white and black, who pack into vaught-Hemmingway statium will sing Dixie loud and proud but will not stand together to stop the injustice that is going on. When I was a little boy and would come to the games with my father there would be so many battle flags you would think the entire confederate army was camped there. Now ther are just a few lonely patrons who fly the flag in the grove. Years ago when my dad was in school there they would even take the American flag down from the flag pole and raise a battle flag. Or course this was in the days of Archie Manning so it was quite some tie ago. However on a lighter note I finally got all my paper work and geneology stuff done so im offically the newest member of the SCV camp in Crystal Springs. I am really looking forward to learning all I can and forwarding the progress you and others like yourself are making. I really don’t know enough now to start dropping facts on people but in time I am sure it will come. Again thanks for all that you do.
