Miss. license plate proposed to honor KKK leader
From: cscitizen@windstream.net
During the battle at Ft. Pillow Tennessee when it became apparent to Gen. Forrest that his troops were about to rout the U.S. colored troops he called a cease fire & asked for their surrender, they refused. What was Gen. Forrest suppose to do, let enemy combatants go free? The U.S. absolved Forrest of any crimes over this SUPPOSEDLY massacre after the war.
However, because he was the first Grand Wizard of the KKK ( Forrest disbanded it after two years ) today’s media uses this story to advance a liberal media driven agenda leaving out all the pertinent facts I`ve mentioned.
