Parks Cemetery Ridge Confederate Memorial Plaza

The Parks Cemetery Ridge Confederate Memorial Plaza is located in NW Tennessee adjacent to the Interstate highway. They have erected a huge Battle Flag as the center of a memorial plaza which will feature an historic granite monument with bronze plaques on opposite sides. The plaques will contain (1) My poem, "Southern Battle Flag," and (2) The SCV Charge by Lt General S. D. Lee. The plaza will be paved with bricks, and donors may have their Confederate ancestor’s name engraved on a brick for $50. Since my poem is being featured, I purchased a brick in honor of my Confederate Great Grandfather David Wade Price, writer-poet-artist-pianist, who I’m sure would be so proud.
They have kindly invited me to the dedication to recite my poem, and it appears this will happen next April.
