Rather disconcerting to see a paper in the fourteenth State to ratify the Constitution — whose ratification included the provision to secede if the Federal government trampled upon the rights of the State — publish such a torrent of hate speech and sloppy historical scholarship.
Rather more disconcerting when one considers that the said State has for the past few years been discussing secession as a definite option.
Amusing when one considers that the State mentioned owes its existence as a State to secession (in 1776).
