Please post a comment and also e-mail journalist and Metro Editor Carlton Fletcher   and thank him for the work and effort he put into this article and for a job well done.
Carlton interviewed Charles Lunsford, Kelly Barrow, H.K. Edgerton, and Nelson Winbush and quoted them in the article.
Carlton Fletcher is our friend and is working with me to publish an article every month or two throughout the 150 year sesquicentennial on the Southern perspective of the War For Southern Independence (Civil War).
He allows me to furnish research, facts, documentation and contacts to interview and he writes and publishes the article in his own style. I consider Carlton a gifted writer with a unique style and most important he is fair and honest. I never have to be concerned about Carlton doing a "Hatchet Job". We in SCV, UDC, and all other groups and individuals interested in presenting the Southern perspective of Southern-Confederate history and Heritage are fortunate to have Carlton as our "partner". If only we had more honest and fair journalists of Carlton’s caliber. Most of you are aware that it would be nearly impossible to get unbiased positive articles in many if not most newspapers. I feel very fortunate to have Carlton as my friend and am working to get "our side of the story" out to the public.
We need to let Carlton know we appreciate his work and effort so please do so.
