In Memory Of Keith Raiford
Keith was born Oct. 8, 1987 in Franklin, VA/Southampton County. He grew up loving to fish and hunt. He was a good country boy. Keith was a loving and kind person. At age 16, he got his drivers license. That is when he decided to be an organ and tissue donor. Keith said that if he died, he would not need any of his body. He said that maybe he could help someone else, and he did. 58 people received tissue donations in 4 states, because he died in an auto accident on June 26, 2005.
Keith only wore Dixie Outfitters shirts, so his family and friends decided to wear Dixie Outfitters shirts at his funeral. Keith was carried to the cemetery in the back of an old Ford truck that belonged to his best friend, Hunt Darden. Keith was buried wearing a Dixie Outfitters shirt. Keith would have been proud of us wearing our shirts, with the rebel flag draped over the truck for his last ride.
Thank you, Dixie Outfitters, for making memorial shirts for Keith’s family and friends for Christmas 2005. It still brings tears to my eyes when I see everyone wearing their shirts now. Thank you for all of your support.
Keith’s Mom,
Vanessa Raiford
