Subject: Va Flaggers: Last Capitol of the Confederacy Old South Ball

Last fall, a major heritage victory was won when the City Council of Danville, Virginia denied the request of the Danville Museum of Fine Arts to remove the Third National from a monument on the grounds of the Sutherlin Mansion, which served as the Last Capitol of the Confederacy.  Today, the flag flies proudly as a reminder of her noble place in the history of the Confederacy.

To commemorate the Sesquicentennial of the Last Capitol in Danville, a Sesquicentennial Old South Ball will be held on Saturday, April 4th, at the Danville Community Market, featuring the WILDLY POPULAR 2nd South Carolina String Band!

Concert 7:00 – 8:00 pm, Ballroom Dancing 8:00 – 11:00 pm.  Heavy hors d’oeuvres featuring shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes and MORE.

Organizers are looking to have a MAJOR presence in Danville, to show the community that we will SUPPORT those who SUPPORT our heritage!  Often, we are forced to boycott those who dishonor our ancestors.  NOW is the time to step up and SHOW UP, in big numbers!   Please make plans to attend…and help by forwarding this email to everyone on your list who might be interested.

The first 500 tickets sold will be VIP seating around the band, the second 500 will be general admission.  Get your tickets NOW to ensure best seating!  Tickets may be purchased online here: or by calling 1-877-733-3130.
