As we celebrate July 4th, let us also remember Gettysburg was July 1, 2 and 3, 1863. Let us remember Vicksburg fell on 4 July 1863!
I had forebears at both Vicksburg and Gettysburg! We must remember our Confederate ancestors and their sacrifices 145 years ago. They are a part of us and we are a part of them! They were honorable men! All Southerners must never forget!
