I will soon be a grandfather again, this time a boy adopted from Ethopia. I have purchased his first rifle, fishing gear and a number of books. My daughter wants him to cherish learning. She asked me how to tell him about slavery here. I replied "Tell him the truth". When he is older I will direct him to sites such as yours in order that he may learn the truth and stand proud as the grandson of a Texan and take pride in himself as a blessed creation of our heavenly Father. Praying that he will always seek the truth and act on it.

God bless you Sir and your family. You are absolutely right. Tell that baby the truth. Tell him how in the Southland of America that in lieu of the economic institution of slavery that we were in every sense of the word family, and that I am proud to call his grandpa brother!
