Members of the Tift County Chamber of Commerce, friends, family and well wishers and Dixie Outfitters trademark owner, Dewey Barber, joined franchise owners, Faye and John Lowe, for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Dixie Outfitters Southern Heritage Store in Tifton, Georgia on June 7, 2006.
Faye and John Lowe are the owners of the first store to be franchised by Dixie Outfitters, and were instrumental in developing and launching the Dixie Outfitters franchise concept.
The Lowes have prospered while operating their store on Main Street in downtown Tifton for a year and a half, but the move to a new location at the intersection of US Highway 82 and I-75 has provided much higher visibility and traffic flow and has resulted in an immediate increase in sales.
Travelers on I-75 and US 82 directed to the Dixie Outfitters Southern Heritage Store by billboard advertisements enter to find a store chock full of items that reflect the heritage and culture of the South – paintings, clocks, flags, books, blankets, car tags, jeans, shorts, and hats. Dixie Outfitters’ full line of clothing and accessories are presented in an attractive and organized manner.
Customers often join the Lowes in the creation of a one-of-a-kind garment as they choose from over 1,000 Southern designs from the Dixie Outfitters collection.
Dixie Outfitters is dedicated to educating the public about the truth of Southern Heritage and strives to present products and art that reflect pride in Southern Heritage and culture.
The Tifton, Georgia store is located at 610 West 7th Street, Tifton, Georgia 31794. The phone number is 229-382-6007.
