Just wanted to pass along a Facebook message I received from Bill Cooper about the Confederate Flags being stolen at Brice’s Crossroads Confederate Cemetary. He was in charge of putting up the flags for years. Thanks to him for answering the call…..

Hey Brian, Well the flags were last stolen, the day after we erected the pole back in June 1994. We then tied the rope off just below the bottom flag and then greased the pole with lithium grease for 2 feet below that point. One week later the flags were ok but somebody left their hard earned blood behind. I wonder what got caught on the hooks, ha ha. We are going to be working at the cross roads this Sat, so come on out and join us. I’ll bring a tall ladder and a new rope with hooks, and some new flags to brighten up the area.
