Battle of Bridgeport this weekend

Sixth Cavaliers & Friends,

Hope to see many of you Co B troopers and some Co A and D stragglers at Bridgeport this weekend.  Their website is:  http://www.siegeatbridgeport.com/   You can get all kinds of information from it.  This will be a good warm up event for the national level Shiloh next weekend.

As for directions, come across Hwy 72E from Huntsville to Stevenson.  Take the SECOND Stevenson exit off Hwy 72E.  There should be signs on the highway about the reenactment.  Go five or six miles on Co Rd 255 before turning to the right at a trailer park…again, look for the signs.  Follow that road a mile to two to the site.  You can’t miss it.  Sign in at registration and ask where the 6th is camped.  We camp next to the old barn, which is mostly collapsed now.  I should be on site by early afternoon Friday.  If you haven’t been there before and don’t know where to set up, wait for me or others who know.

Call me if necessary…(256) 603-7234.

They do feed a good meal and have a camp dance with Unreconstructed providing the music.  They also have an anvil shoot each day as well as a great fireworks display Saturday night.  Lots of sutlers will be on hand for your shopping pleasure.  Don’t forget to bring food for our community breakfasts.  Don’t let the weather keep you away.  It’s actually looking pretty good for the weekend.

I beg to Remain, your most Humble and Obedient servant,
