Sunday Memorial Service – Tampa, FL
To all,
We gather this Sunday April 25 evening at the most famous Confederate Flag site on this continent for a brief memorial service honouring those who served in the Confederate Army 1861-1865.
Time is 6PM at the Memorial Park on US 92 just West of Interstate 75 overpass. General Jubal A. Early Camp 556 will provide the rifle squad and colour guard for this event. Submitted names of Confederate ancestors will be read aloud and if you wish to present your ancestor contact Paul Elmore at earlyreportnews@yahoo.com.
We ask that you arrive around 5:30 for parking and bring your own chair if you wish to sit during the ceremony. Programs will be provided by the Early Camp and a 5.00 fee for each soldier is required for listing.
The response has been overwhelming for this inaugural event and all are invited to attend. Put this date on your calendar and show the West coast of Florida pride in your Southern Heritage.
