America’s New Racists
Walter Williams confronts a sad modern-day fact: Most racial violence these days is committed by blacks. Worse, he argues, is that the media and racial grievance politicians — including one with the initials BHO — are prodding them on:
In many of these brutal attacks, the news media make no mention of the race of the perpetrators. If it were white racist gangs randomly attacking blacks, the mainstream media would have no hesitation reporting the race of the perps. Editors for the Los Angeles Times, the New York Times, and the Chicago Tribune admitted to deliberately censoring information about black crime for political reasons. Chicago Tribune Editor Gerould Kern recently said that the paper’s reason for censorship was to "guard against subjecting an entire group of people to suspicion."
Thus, in the current toxic atmosphere, it’s okay to refer to white conservatives as "sub-human" or "nazis." And in anticipation of that glorious moment decades from now when American whites will become a minority in their own country, it’s okay to taunt them with the reminder, "you’re on the endangered list. And unlike, say, the bald eagle or some exotic species of muskrat, you are not worth saving."
Such statements are not aimed at encouraging dialogue or reconciliation, but at stoking resentment and fear. Anyone care to guess what that can lead to? At least we have a few sane voices such as Dr. Williams who see exactly where all this will take us.
