I want to let you all know that the letters written to the Richmond Times Dispatch must have made a difference because they covered the Aug. 2, 2008 opening of the 1908 time capsule from the Buckingham Confederate Monument with great zeal and detail. They took Wonderful pictures, interviewed folks and called me 3 times to get the information correct. Never had that happen before.
Confederately yours,
Nancy Sutton Faxon, President
The Elliott Grays,
UDC Chapter 1877
Richmond, Va.
/\/.\/\/. COMMENTS: This is great-sounding news out of the clear blue, esp. for one with deep Richmond roots such as me. Thanks to Ms Faxon for it! But I beg you all, when reporting anything, take a few seconds to dig up the link to the story you mention. If what one wants to do is get exciting stuff out to as many people as possible, this is a simple way to multiply your impact.
Let’s become an endless link-hunting and -sharing festival. It’s how to beat the corporate news cartel in the digital age — our golden opportunity at last!
